Job summary

MRI Software in Manila is seeking a customer-focused Billing Operations Associate to handle daily billing and account inquiries. You will verify and process applications, manage bills, and assist with payment interfaces, working closely with consultants and engineers to resolve escalated issues.

The role requires >=2 years in billing or customer service, English proficiency, and flexibility with supporting regional needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in billing, accounting, or customer service.
• Experience in electricity retail or utilities preferred.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Chinese, Malay, or Indian languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle general inbound billing and account inquiries.
• Verify and process applications for account opening/closing/modification.
• Process bills accurately and timely.
• Perform billing adjustments and mass charges/rebates when required.
• Handle payment collection and ensure smooth payment interfaces.
• Send overdue reminders and pursue arrears to resolution.
• Prepare and submit periodic/ad-hoc reports to client and internal teams.
• Collaborate with client and third-party vendors for smooth billing operations.
• Assist with software-related inquiries and escalated issues with consultants/engineers.

Job Description

Provide excellent customer service to handle general incoming billing and account inquiries, and resolve customer’s concern. Verify and process applications such as account opening, closing, and modification. Verify and process bills generated from system in an accurate and timely manner. Perform billing adjustment, mass charges/rebates when required. Handle payment collection tasks and ensure smooth file transfers for payment interfaces. Send reminder letters for overdue payments, follow up on arrears, and raise appropriate actions to ensure timely resolution. Prepare and submit periodic or ad-hoc reports to both client and internal departments. Coordinate closely with client and third-party vendors to ensure smooth communication, facilitating efficient billing operations. Assist in software related enquiries. You will work closely with the consultants and engineers to resolve escalated issues quickly and effectively.

Essential Skills and Experience

At least 2 years of experience in day-to-day operational support in areas such as billing, accounting, customer service, or credit control. Experience in the electricity retail or utility industry would be an advantage. Minimum qualification of GCE ‘O’ level, Diploma, Degree or equivalent in the relevant field. Strong interpersonal skills with service oriented and empathetic mindset. Responsible with good time management and organisation skills to follow through customers’ issues. Proficient in English. Ability to converse in Chinese, Malay or Indian will be a benefit.
