Job summary

The Auctus Group in the Philippines is seeking a Billing Coordinator to manage accurate charge posting, payment posting, denial resolution, and AR follow-up for services. This role supports timely reimbursement and AR health in a remote, fast-paced environment.

You will review EOBs, ensure coding and payer requirements are met, and maintain meticulous documentation while adhering to HIPAA and client policies. This position prioritizes accuracy and clear communication in a remote setup.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical billing experience; professional and surgical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and payer guidelines.
• Familiarity with global periods and surgical billing concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with EHRs, PM systems, and clearinghouses.
• Reliable computer and high-speed internet for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit clean claims for professional and surgical services.
• Post payments, adjustments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Follow up on unpaid, underpaid, and denied claims.
• Work AR across aging buckets with focus on timely resolution.
• Review EOBs and payer responses to identify next actions.
• Maintain clear documentation in the billing system.
• Escalate complex issues to Team Lead as needed.
• Comply with payer rules, client policies, and internal workflows.
• Analyze billed services to ensure coding, compliance, and reimbursement.
• Apply and review modifiers; identify CPT/NCCI issues; recommend corrections (coding from op notes not required).
• Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.
