Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, or accounting related reconciliation.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliation and reporting.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile benefits enrollment data with payroll deductions and vendor invoices regularly.

Job description

We are seeking a Benefits Reconciliation Specialist to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely reconciliation of employee benefits data. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in reconciling benefits enrollment records, vendor invoices, and payroll deductions.

This position involves close collaboration with internal departments (benefits, payroll, accounting) and external vendors to identify discrepancies, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate records. Candidates must be highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment aligned with U.S. business hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile benefits enrollment data with payroll deductions and vendor invoices regularly
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies related to employee benefits
  • Collaborate with benefits, payroll, and accounting teams, as well as third-party vendors
  • Maintain accurate and auditable records of benefits transactions and corrections
  • Support compliance efforts and ensure data meets internal audit and legal standards
  • Prepare detailed reconciliation and discrepancy reports for internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within benefits operations
Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm PST

  • 1–2 years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, or accounting related reconciliation

(Note- This is not a payroll or accounting role, but some experience in these areas is helpful. The focus is on employee benefits and how they are administered.)

  • General understanding of employee benefits plans (health, dental, vision, retirement, etc.)

(Experience does not need to be U.S. specific, but familiarity is a plus)

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliation and reporting (this is a must)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience supporting U.S.-based clients from offshore (this is a nice to have)
  • Familiarity with benefits platforms and vendor management system
