Job summary

Coffee Academy Manila trains the next generation of coffee professionals in the Philippines. We run hands‑on barista courses for beginners, working baristas, and aspiring café owners, focusing on skill, consistency, and hospitality.

We are looking for a skilled Barista Trainer to teach espresso, milk texturing, and brewing to aspiring baristas, café owners, and coffee enthusiasts. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of barista experience, prior training or head barista roles, strong espresso

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in specialty coffee as a barista.
• Experience in training, coaching, or leading a team is preferred.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills in English and Filipino.

Responsibilities

• Run beginner to advanced barista classes including espresso, milk texturing, latte art, and brewing.
• Develop and update course modules, lesson plans, and training materials.
• Assist with events, workshops, cuppings, and marketing content.
• Stay updated on coffee industry trends and share knowledge with the team.

Coffee Academy Manila trains the next generation of coffee professionals in the Philippines. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Barista Trainer to teach espresso, milk texturing, and brewing skills to aspiring baristas, café owners, and coffee enthusiasts.

Key responsibilities

• Run beginner, intermediate, and advanced barista classes, covering espresso extraction, milk texturing, latte art, manual brewing, and café workflow

• Help develop and update course modules, lesson plans, and training materials

• Help with events, workshops, cuppings, and marketing content (demos, social media features)

• Keep up with coffee industry trends and share new knowledge with the team

About you

• At least 2–3 years of barista experience in a specialty coffee setting

• Previous training, coaching, or head barista experience is a strong advantage

• Strong command of espresso theory, milk steaming, latte art, and manual brewing methods

• Barista certification (e.g., SCA, TESDA NC II Barista, or similar) is preferred

• Excellent communication skills in English and Filipino, and comfortable speaking in front of groups

• Patient, organized, and eager to help others succeed

• Willing to work weekends and occasional evenings depending on class schedules

• Willing to be based in Sun Valley, Paranaque
