Job summary

What About Coffee? (WACo) in Metro Manila is seeking a Barista to craft high-quality drinks and deliver warm hospitality.

You will prepare espresso-based beverages, maintain station cleanliness, and support inventory and service flow. The role offers growth to Senior Barista with mentoring responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year café experience, strong coffee knowledge, and a customer-first attitude; weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a café/hospitality role (specialty coffee preferred).
• Strong understanding of coffee brewing techniques, espresso extraction, and milk texturing.
• Passion for coffee with a willingness to continuously learn and improve.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks and teas per company standards.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across drinks.
• Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including calibration and cleaning.
• Stay up to date with coffee trends and product knowledge.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and engage guests about offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and equipment.
• Assist in stock management and inventory as needed.
• Train and mentor junior baristas (Senior Barista level).
