We are seeking a skilled Backhoe Operator to perform excavation, loading, and material transportation tasks in a variety of heavy construction operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating backhoes with breakers, maintaining equipment, and adhering to strict safety standards. This role is critical in ensuring that construction projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality.
Core Responsibilities
1. Excavation andMaterial Handling
- Operatea backhoe to excavate, load, and transport materials in various heavyconstruction operations.
- Handlebreakers with precision during demolition and breaking tasks.
- Operateadditional construction equipment as required by project needs.
2. Safety andCompliance
- Adhereto all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring a safe workenvironment.
- Consistentlymonitor the worksite to identify and address potential hazards.
3. Equipment Maintenance
- Performdaily maintenance on the backhoe, including lubrication and inspections.
- Ensureall tools and equipment are in good working order and safe for use.
- Workclosely with the crew to accomplish project goals, demonstrating strongteamwork and communication.
- Trainand mentor other workers on equipment operation, safety protocols, andconstruction processes.
- Assistwith general labor tasks as needed, supporting the crew and ensuring sitereadiness.
Other Responsibilities
- Performadditional tasks as required to support the operations department and theorganization.
Qualifications
- HighSchool Diploma, Vocational Diploma, or Short Course Certificate.
- NC IICertification from TESDA (Technical Education and Skills DevelopmentAuthority).
- Minimumof 5 years of working experience as a Backhoe Operator or in a relatedfield.
- Proficientin operating backhoes with breakers.
- Stronghand-eye-foot coordination and mechanical skills.
- Effectivecommunication and teamwork abilities.
- Physicallyfit to handle the demands of extended operation and site work.
- Validlocal driver’s license.
- Willingto stay on-site as required by the project.
