Job summary

BJAK is hiring backend engineers to build the core systems behind its AI Neobank app. You will develop reliable APIs and workflows, enabling scale across markets, partners and millions of users.

Based in the Philippines, you will collaborate with product and mobile teams, integrate with banks and payment gateways, and design auditable, secure financial infrastructure for a growing fintech platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, system design and production debugging.
• Experience building scalable services and integrating third-party systems.
• Good understanding of security, reliability, data quality and operational edge cases.
• Ability to trade off speed, quality and risk in practical scenarios.
• Comfortable working with product, mobile, operations and business teams.
• Experience in fintech or regulated products is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services, APIs and workflows for the AI Neobank app.
• Support products across insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, travel and financial services.
• Design reliable systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications and operations.
• Work with product and mobile teams to ship customer-facing journeys quickly.
• Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, data providers and other partners.
• Improve system reliability, observability, security and performance.
• Build systems that are practical, auditable and ready for regulated financial products.
