Job summary

Lingaro Group Philippines is seeking a Lead Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Python, with a focus on Azure and modern microservices. You will collaborate in an Agile team, implement CI/CD, work with Docker/Kubernetes in production, and help shape data models and API design across cloud platforms.

You will bring strong Python backend experience, hands-on Azure knowledge, and proficiency in FastAPI or Django, RESTful APIs, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience as a Python Backend Developer (mid-senior level).
• Hands-on Azure experience (App Services, Functions, AKS, Storage).
• Experience with FastAPI and/or Django.
• Proven RESTful API design and scalable microservice architectures.
• Solid CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• English proficiency and cross-functional teamwork.
• SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, scalability, performance.
• Unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices.
• Git and collaborative workflows.
• Security best practices in cloud/backend.
• Experience with Databricks or big-data platforms.
• Commercial experience with Golang.
• Full-stack skills, esp. React.
• Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems.

Tasks:

Core Responsibilities of a Lead Backend Developer:

• Solid understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes in production.

• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Understanding of cloud architecture patterns, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Awareness of security best practices in cloud and backend environments.
• Experience with Databricks or other big-data/data engineering platforms.
• Commercial experience with Golang.
• Full-stack skills, especially with React.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, etc.).
