Job summary

European healthcare tech company is seeking a Data Platform Architect to lead the design and governance of a scalable Azure-based data platform for reporting and analytics across regions.

In this hands-on role, you will consolidate data from multiple products, build pipelines, and define enterprise data models while ensuring compliance with privacy and security requirements. Hybrid work with UK hours.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related roles.
• Proven experience designing and managing enterprise data platforms or data warehouses.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services (Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Fabric, Data Factory).
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating data from multiple sources.
• Knowledge of dimensional data modeling, data warehousing, and master data management.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, and semantic data models.
• Experience with AI development tools and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the architecture and roadmap for the organization's Azure-based data platform.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to consolidate data from multiple products into a centralized analytics platform.
• Design and maintain enterprise data models and integration layers.
• Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models and support reporting initiatives.
• Establish data governance, data quality, monitoring, metadata, and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams on data integration strategies.
• Ensure compliance with multi-region data residency, privacy, and security requirements.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate SQL development and documentation.
