Job summary

Visa Hunt, a leading technology consultancy, seeks an experienced Data Engineering Consultant with deep Microsoft Azure expertise. You will architect, develop, and sustain scalable data frameworks across the full data lifecycle, enabling clients to derive value from their data assets.

You will design end-to-end Azure data pipelines, governance, security, and cost optimization, using Spark, Databricks, and Fabric to meet diverse data needs while collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 4+ years in Azure data engineering consulting or client-facing delivery.
• At least 1 year building data ingestion, processing, and analytics pipelines using SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Hands-on experience with ETL and data processing using Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, ADLS, OneLake, and Fabric services.
• At least 1 year of experience with Azure and big data technologies including Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Python, SQL, ADLS/Blob Storage, Spark, and Spark SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end data solutions on Azure for business requirements.
• Develop and manage data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and integrating diverse data sources using Spark.
• Implement data security, governance, and privacy controls across Azure data platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for reliability, performance and cost.
• Apply Azure best practices to storage and processing across the platform.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data needs into scalable architectures.
