Job summary

Radii Global is seeking an experienced Azure API Management (APIM) Developer to design, develop, secure, and manage enterprise API solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on APIM policy implementation, API security, and cloud-native integrations within a CI/CD-enabled environment.

In this position, you will collaborate with architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable API ecosystems, leveraging Terraform and ApiOps for automated deployments and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure API Management (APIM).
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, and API design best practices.
• Hands-on experience implementing APIM policies and advanced gateway configurations.
• Experience with API security protocols including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and Azure Active Directory.
• Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Experience with Azure ApiOps, Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD automation.
• Strong understanding of Azure integration services and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with API monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, publish, and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
• Implement and maintain APIM policies for authentication, rate limiting, caching, and routing.
• Integrate APIs with Azure services like Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure AD.
• Manage the full API lifecycle: design, deployment, versioning, monitoring, retirement.
• Configure API security with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and Certificate-based auth.
• Develop request/response transformation policies to meet requirements.
• Optimize API performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and diagnostics with Azure Monitor and Insights.
• Automate deployments and IaC using Terraform, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and ApiOps.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure API Management, API security, Azure integrations, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform and Azure API Operations (ApiOps).

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, publish, and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM)

Implement and maintain APIM policies for authentication, authorization, rate limiting, caching, routing, and traffic management

Integrate APIs with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure AD

Manage the complete API lifecycle, including design, deployment, versioning, monitoring, and retirement

Configure and support API security standards, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, certificates, and Azure Active Directory authentication

Develop request and response transformation policies to meet business and integration requirements

Optimize API performance, scalability, reliability, and availability

Implement monitoring, logging, and diagnostics using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics

Automate API deployments and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure ApiOps

Collaborate with development, architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver secure and scalable API solutions

About you

Proven experience with Microsoft Azure API Management (APIM)

Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, and API design best practices

Hands-on experience implementing APIM policies and advanced gateway configurations

Experience with API security protocols including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and Azure Active Directory

Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies

Experience with Azure ApiOps, Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD automation
