Job summary

Manila Recruitment Limited is seeking a Database Administrator to manage IBM Db2 and PostgreSQL databases in AWS, with a focus on performance, reliability, and capacity. You will work with distributed teams across regions and support multi-node HA clusters.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of AWS experience, strong Linux skills, and the ability to own and resolve production incidents, including after-hours on-call. Experience with automation and monitoring is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on AWS experience supporting mission-critical production databases.
• Experience with IBM Db2 and PostgreSQL in enterprise environments.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Familiar with monitoring, observability, and incident response processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain AWS-hosted DB environments, including EC2 HADR setups.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, availability, capacity, and reliability.
• Support IBM Db2 and PostgreSQL environments and related projects.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and participate in on-call rotation.
• Assist in migrations, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Collaborate with global teams on governance and automation.
