Job summary

Optum in Philippines is seeking a Senior Database Administrator with 8+ years of hands-on experience managing SQL Server, Azure SQL, MongoDB, and MongoDB Atlas in enterprise production environments.

You will own and optimize large-scale databases, ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness, and drive performance enhancements with automation and AI-assisted techniques while providing on-call support in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

8+ years of SQL Server DBA experience in enterprise production environments.
4+ years of MongoDB experience in production environments.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server 2012–2025, Azure SQL, MongoDB and MongoDB Atlas.

Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server, Azure SQL, MongoDB environments.
Ensure high availability, DR readiness, and performance optimization.
Troubleshoot database, infrastructure, and application issues using native tooling and Atlas components.
Lead MongoDB Atlas administration including Projects, Clusters, and backup policies.
Design, deploy, and manage recovery configurations in cloud environments.
