We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as AVP Regulatory Affairs.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Governance and Risk Management:
    • Support in assessing readiness to comply with proposed and in-flight new or amended significant rules, regulations, and laws. Assist in establishing regulation management frameworks.
    • Review whether reasonable steps are being taken to address additional significant regulatory expectations and issues outlined in reports.
  2. Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
    • Ensure service delivery of processes meets defined standards and performance levels within a high-governance control environment.
    • Maintain strong understanding of Regulatory Affairs, Risk management, and Regulation Management Frameworks to guide the team.
    • Ensure PLA/Business MI provides accurate analysis, trends, outliers, and issues to the Business Committee.
  3. Individual Contribution and Teamwork:
    • Create an environment fostering knowledge sharing across teams and locations.
    • Provide SME opinions on exception identification, escalation, and management.
    • Act with integrity, uphold ethical standards, and exemplify HSBC's code of conduct.
Job Requirements:
  • Understanding of Regulation Management Frameworks, including Enterprise-wide Risk Management.
  • Knowledge of applications within the Regulation Management Ecosystem, Project Management Tools, and UAT.
  • Understanding of regulatory expectations and local issues.
  • Support to Risk Stewards, LoB heads, and Group CRCO for reporting.
Additional Skills:
  • Bachelor/Master’s in MBA Finance or similar, with at least 8 years in Banking/Law/Financial Services in Compliance roles.
  • Experience in Banking Compliance, Regulatory Compliance 2nd LoD, or Compliance Audit.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Self-motivated with project management and documentation skills.
  • Good judgment, analytical skills, and high integrity.
  • Focus on Quality, Automation, and Efficiency (Six Sigma/Lean).

Note: Candidates with less experience may be offered a lower band. Priority will be given to candidates with immediate right to work and no relocation needed.
