Job summary

A leading energy company is looking for a Power Plant Operator in Cabuyao, Laguna. This role involves starting and monitoring power plant operations, following safety protocols, and may require occasional maintenance tasks. Ideal candidates will have an engineering degree or equivalent. The position is open exclusively to Filipino nationals, particularly local residents of Masbate.

Qualifications

• Preferably an Engineering Graduate or equivalent.
• No experience required for Engineers, but non-engineers should have at least 1 year of experience in Diesel Power Plants operations.
• Proficiency in computer usage and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Starts, synchronizes, loads and shutdowns the power plant and all related equipment (engine and auxiliaries) according to Manufacturer\'s Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitors and maintains standard operating parameters of the whole Power Plant systems and all related equipment (engine and auxiliaries).
• Informs the Control Room Operator of activities to be done and obtain clearance.
• Monitors inventory levels of fuel, lube oil and water.
• Responsible for receiving and unloading of fuel oil and lube oil.
• Responsible for the disposal of sludge and used oil.
• Records all activities done in his shift and performs proper hand-over.
• Implements HSE programs and proper housekeeping.
• Reports all abnormalities found during his shift and takes necessary correction if possible.
• As part of development program, performs occasional maintenance tasks such as cleaning of strainers, welding works if NC2 certified, hands-on training on fuel/ lube oil separator preventive maintenance service, and conducts other non-critical mechanical works in the engine if needed.

Qualifications

• A. Education: Preferably an Engineering Graduate or equivalent.
• B. Experience: No experience required for Engineers, but non-engineers should have at least 1 year of experience in Diesel Power Plants operations and maintenance.
• C. General Skills: Proficiency in computer usage; strong communication and reporting skills.
• D. Professional Skills: Knowledge of welding works is an advantage; ability to understand manuals, flow charts, and standard operating procedures.

This position is exclusively open to Filipino nationals, specifically for local residents of Masbate.
