A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of automotive experience are required. This position offers a full onsite work schedule, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive sector, with at least 2 years in quality assurance.
  • Preferably a Registered Lead Auditor (RLA).
  • Experience conducting third-party audits is an advantage.

Job Overview

This role is responsible for leading and executing third-party audits specific to the automotive industry, in accordance with IATF 16949 and related standards. The position also supports auditor training, client engagement, and ensures strict adherence to regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or other relevant technical fields as required by the automotive industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive sector, with at least 2 years in quality assurance, quality control, or IATF 16949 auditing
  • Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and related automotive quality standards
  • Preferably a Registered Lead Auditor (RLA), with in-depth understanding of IATF standards and compliances.
  • Experience conducting third-party audits or working within a certification or auditing body is an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Computer literate and proficient in preparing audit-related documentation and reports
  • Demonstrated ability to lead audit teams and provide mentorship to junior auditors

Roles and Responsibilities
Audit Planning and Execution

  • Lead the full audit cycle in compliance with global and IATF-specific procedures
  • Review client capability and proposal worksheets before engagement
  • Conduct desk studies of client quality management systems and prepare detailed audit plans, checklists, and itineraries
  • Perform and lead on-site audits in accordance with IATF 16949 and other relevant standards
  • Review audit packages and reports submitted by junior auditors or those under supervision
  • Raise and document findings or non-conformities during closing meetings
  • Approve audit reports and ensure the quality and completeness of audit documentation

Client Engagement and Technical Support

  • Address client inquiries related to automotive quality management systems and IATF-related standards
  • Conduct pre-renewal visits and client consultations to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Assist in maintaining and expanding client relationships by providing technical support and insights during visits or meetings
  • Support business development teams in presenting services to prospective clients

Training and Development

  • Customize and deliver training programs related to IATF 16949 and related standards
  • Support the development and assessment of auditors under training
  • Provide technical guidance and serve as a mentor to audit team members

Compliance and Regulatory Alignment

  • Ensure full compliance with IATF rules, regulations, and procedural updates
  • Maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism in line with industry codes of conduct
  • Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices during audits
  • Support incident reporting, risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions are followed
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, health, safety, environment, and energy (QHSEE) policies
