Job summary

Grantek is seeking a talented Automation Engineer to advance real-time automation solutions from plant floor to enterprise level. You will use PLC/SCADA/HMI, networking, and high-level programming to design, debug, and deploy complex systems for manufacturing clients.

As a senior contributor, you will mentor junior engineers, document designs, and continuously improve solutions across projects while traveling locally as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have an engineering bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 6–8+ years of practical experience with PLCs, SCADA/HMI, networking, databases, motion, safety, or high-level programming.
• Experience with Ignition, Allen-Bradley, and/or Beckhoff TwinCAT is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and implementing real-time automation controls and information solutions
• Conceptualizing during the design phase of the project life cycle
• System programming, debugging, and testing
• Creating documentation including project notes, proposals, traceability
• Commissioning new solutions at client sites and identifying improvements
• Developing methodologies and solving complex problems
• Learning new technologies and mentoring colleagues
• Maintaining enthusiasm and tackling challenges with a collaborative spirit
