Job summary

Jobtailor in Manila is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade Linux infrastructure with automation, security compliance, and operational excellence.

You will develop and expand Ansible playbooks, manage Red Hat Satellite and RHEL configurations across environments, and collaborate with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities while driving patching and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Linux systems engineering experience (mid-level) or 7+ years (senior level).
• Deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Ansible — writing and maintaining complex playbooks, roles, and modules.
• Hands‑on experience with Ansible/Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
• Demonstrated experience with Red Hat Satellite — content views, lifecycle environments, activation keys, remote execution, and patch management.
• Strong understanding of Linux security fundamentals — SELinux, firewalld, PAM, sudoers, auditd, and system hardening.
• Experience building and managing automated patching and OS update workflows.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts — TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, bonding/teaming, VLANs.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical processes clearly.
