Job summary

Acxelsus is seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to produce precise 2D/3D drawings and CAD documentation for design and engineering projects. You will translate concepts and sketches into drawings, coordinating with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in drafting/engineering/architectural field.
• 1–2 years of AutoCAD drafting or similar design support experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and AutoCAD LT; know drafting standards.
• Fluent English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Produce, revise, and maintain 2D/3D drawings and layouts in AutoCAD.
• Organize and archive drawing files with version control.
• Ensure drawings meet industry codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to apply changes.
• Redline and update drawings with clear revision history.
• Prepare BOMs, drawing schedules, and title blocks as needed.

Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to produce accurate technical drawings and plans that support our clients' design and engineering projects. In this role, you will translate concepts, sketches, and specifications into precise CAD documentation, working closely with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to ensure every drawing meets project and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Drawing Production: Create, revise, and maintain detailed 2D/3D drawings, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD based on provided specifications, sketches, or verbal instructions.
• Drawing Management: Organize, label, and archive drawing files following version control and company naming/filing conventions.
• Quality & Standards Compliance: Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant industry codes, standards, and client-specific requirements, checking for accuracy in dimensions, scale, and annotations.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work with engineers, architects, project managers, and other drafters to incorporate design changes and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Revision Tracking: Redline and update drawings based on feedback, markups, and change requests, maintaining a clear revision history.
• Documentation Support: Prepare supporting documentation such as bills of materials, drawing schedules, and title blocks as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or vocational/technical diploma in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience as an AutoCAD Drafter or in a similar drafting/design support role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and/or 3D); working knowledge of AutoCAD LT; familiarity with drafting standards and conventions (dimensioning, annotation, scaling); experience with PDF markup tools (e.g., Bluebeam) for redlining; basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation and communication; exposure to complementary CAD/design software such as Civil 3D, Revit, SketchUp, or SolidWorks is an advantage depending on discipline.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy; good time management and ability to meet deadlines; clear written and verbal communication; ability to take direction and incorporate feedback constructively; a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Language: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with international/offshore clients or teams.
• Familiarity with project management or file-sharing platforms (e.g., Procore, SharePoint, BIM 360).
• Background in a specific discipline such as architectural, civil/structural, or mechanical/electrical drafting.
