• Repairing damaged body frames and structures through welding, shaping, and straightening.
• Removing dents, scratches, and imperfections from vehicle bodies using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
• Conducting quality checks and inspections to ensure repairs meet industry standards and customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining an organized and clean workspace, following safety protocols at all times.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and repair techniques to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job description

The Tintsmith fabricates, installs, and repairs items from thin metal sheets, primarily focusing on building components like roofing, gutters, downspouts, and HVAC ductwork, using skills in cutting, bending, soldering, and welding to create and maintain functional metal structures, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and sealing for weatherproofing and structural integrity and is responsible for successful and efficient completion of the repair or service required in the customers’ units as indicated in the Repair Orders. He also carries out a range of tests to diagnose service and repair vehicles and work hand in hand with the Operations Team.
