JOBS360 in the Philippines is seeking an Accountant to support day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, financial reporting, and tax tasks. You will help ensure records are accurate and compliant with Australian accounting and tax requirements, working on-site with our finance team.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, proficiency with Xero and Dext, and collaboration with external accountants and auditors to meet deadlines and improve processes.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in Australian accounting and/or payroll.
• Good working knowledge of Xero.
• Experience with Dext and Employment Hero is an advantage but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, customers, accountants, and auditors.
• Able to work independently, take initiative, follow instructions quickly, and consistently meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices, preparing payments, reconciling supplier accounts, and responding to queries.
• Prepare payroll accurately in line with Fair Work and Australian employment requirements.
• Reconcile bank and credit card transactions daily with correct GST codes.
• Manage Dext by coding bills and receipts before exporting to Xero.
• Assist with month-end reporting and journal entries.
• Record and reconcile accruals, prepayments, and WorkCover journals for month-end reports.
• Assist with preparing and lodging BAS and IAS, and processing superannuation payments.
• Work with external accountants and auditors as required.
• Ensure reporting, payroll, and payment deadlines are met to avoid penalties.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by Finance team.
