- Organize and review field work in consultation with the engagement manager.
- Draft reports, tax returns, management letters, and other communications with the client.
- Participate in the determination of fees to be billed for services rendered; establish and enhance relationships with appropriate client personnel.
- Understand, document, and evaluate clients’ significant manual and computerized systems, procedures, overall business operations, and industries; keep aware of significant problems and opportunities in our client’s operations.
- Meet the profession’s and the Firm’s technical standards as established in current professional pronouncements and Firm policies.
- Provide clients with quality service, preserve engagement and client confidentiality, and enhance professional relationships with client personnel.
- Review work output produced by associates and ensure that audit procedures are performed in accordance with standards.
- Identify specific engagement issues and alert the engagement partner and manager about such issues.
- Comply with the Firm’s administrative policies, practices, and guidelines.
- Demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, tact, positive attitude, and enthusiasm in the performance of responsibilities.
- Cooperate with colleagues in a manner that recognizes the importance of teamwork in providing professional services.
Requirements:
Educational Background:
- Graduate of Bachelor Science in Accountancy
Work Experience:
- Must have solid working experience in external audit and/or private insurance companies
- 9-10 years of experience (for Senior Managers)
- 7-8 years (Managers)
- 4-5 years (Assistant Manager)
- 2-3 years (Senior Associate)
Certifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Other Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in auditing life insurance companies in the Philippines
- Exposure in IFRS 9, Financial Instruments, IFRS 4 / 17 - Insurance Contracts
- Understands basic Insurance underwriting business process
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Good project management skills
- An eagerness to learn how our clients operate
