Job summary

SteelAsia Manufacturing Corporation seeks a Plant Audit Associate to monitor internal controls and risk management for plant operations in Meycauayan, Bulacan.

Responsibilities include end-to-end reviews, aiding the audit plan, documenting work, reporting findings to management, and tracking the closure of audit issues.

Fresh graduates are welcome; 2 years of experience preferred; willing to report to a manufacturing plant in Meycauayan.

• Write observations with guidance on solutions to include in audit reports.
• Track closure of outstanding audit issues with process owners and complete reportorial requirements for supervisor/manager review.

Job description

The Plant Audit Associate will primarily conducts continuous monitoring in the assigned plant and provides assurance on internal controls, risk management, governance for plant operations - manufacturing and fabrication.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conducts end-to-end reviews such as, but not limited to spot checks, surprise cash counts and inventory counts as part of continuous assurance.

• Primarily supports the Internal Audit Department in preparing/ updating the risk and audit universe for the multi-year and annual audit plan.

• Prepares documentation of the work performed and related conclusions in the audit/ advisory report.

• Supports plant operations audit supervisor in the discussion of the results of audit tests and conclusions with Company management and obtains agreement on facts and issues identified.

• Writes observations under the guidance of the plant operations audit supervisor, regarding effective solutions to include in the audit reports.

• Proactively tracks closure of outstanding audit issues with process owners and complete reportorial requirements for review by the supervisor/ manager.

• Primarily builds effective relationships with business partners and senior management to stay abreast of activities within the Company's operations.

• Complies with the global internal audit standards and the IIA code of ethics.

• Participates in various culture-building activities.

• Performs administrative responsibilities as required.
