Qualifications

• Experience working with Australian clients is required.
• Experience in an Australian accounting firm is highly preferred.
• Strong experience preparing income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
• Experience preparing BAS and IAS.
• Familiarity with Australian tax compliance and accounting workflows.
• Experience using Xero, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), MYOB, or HandiTax.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
• Able to work independently and handle client accounting tasks with minimal supervision.

• Prepare and support Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
• Review client financial data and ensure accuracy before lodgment or submission
• Work with AU accounting tools and practice management systems
• Support Australian client accounting, tax compliance, and documentation requirements
• Maintain organized working papers, tax records, and client files
• Coordinate with internal teams or client stakeholders regarding missing information, clarifications, and deadlines
• Ensure work is completed accurately, professionally, and within required turnaround times

This role is ideal for candidates with strong Australian taxation experience, preferably gained from an AU accounting firm. Intermediate-level candidates may also be considered if they have solid AU tax experience and strong technical foundations.
