Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking an Attorney Editor for Primary Law Editorial to conduct legal research, analyze decisions, and write headnotes and notes of decision. You will work with teams across the globe to ensure accurate, current, and well-annotated legal content for Westlaw and related products.

Ideal candidates have a JD, exceptional editing and proofreading skills, and the ability to manage editorial tasks within a collaborative, hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school or equivalent relevant legal training, with aptitude for legal research, writing, and analysis.
• Demonstrate strong editorial judgment and attention to detail with the ability to verify work and ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Legal research, analysis, and writing to support legal information across media.
• Create and classify legal information in headnotes, highlights, notes of decision, and other features.
• Identify key legal issues and ensure quality editorial content is current and accurately annotated.
• Adhere to editorial publishing schedules and quality standards, and collaborate with global teams.
