Job summary

Fluor Corporation in the Philippines seeks an Associate Process Engineer to provide process technology engineering and technical support for simple systems. You will assist in preparing Mass Balances, PFDs, and P&IDs, and perform equipment sizing for basic equipment.

The role requires a BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, 3+ years of related experience, and familiarity with process simulations and hydraulic sizing tools.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, and mass balances is essential.
• Knowledge of pump hydraulics and valve sizing is preferred.

Responsibilities

What we are currently looking for is an Associate Process Engineer. This position provides Process Technology engineering and technical support for simple systems.

Typical Job Duties And Responsibilities Are

• Assist in the preparation Mass Balances, PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), and P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
• Perform equipment sizing and calculations for simple equipment
• Input process data on instrument datasheets and line list
• Assist in relief valve calculations
• Understand and follow Process engineering deliverables
• Assist with process studies
• Get familiar with and apply Fluor's practices and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• preferably three (3) years or more of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field
• BS or MS Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Experience creating P&IDs, PFDs and mass balances
• Experience with pump hydraulics for simple systems
• Experience with control valve sizing
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with audiences that include management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge in our industries necessary to complete the job
• Apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Apply knowledge of applicable industry guidelines and regulations
• Advanced experience with Microsoft tools
• Attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with an EPC company in a process engineering role
• Familiarity with process simulator tools such as Aspen & Unisim

• Active chemical engineering license in the Philippines
