Job Description
Own Brand and Commercial Strategy
- Define bold, differentiated strategies for each brand in response to market shifts.
- Drive prescriber and pharmacist engagement in positioning and promotion.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to shape brand and portfolio strategies.
- Leverage data analytics to identify growth opportunities and measure marketing effectiveness.
Drive Offtake / Sell-out Growth
- Lead programs that directly influence consumer pull and pharmacy recommendations.
- Monitor and report quarterly offtake trends, developing actionable plans to close performance gaps.
Lead Innovation & Business Case Quality
- Build and manage a pipeline of innovative, pilotable initiatives with clear KPIs and ROI logic.
- Review and approve major proposals for feasibility, clarity, and commercial potential.
- Act as a strategic portfolio architect ensuring optimal product lifecycle management from pre-launch to maturity.
Forecast Ownership & Variance Control
- Co-own sales forecasts with Sales, analyzing and correcting variances monthly.
- Maintain granular understanding of sales drivers (e.g., prescription volumes, promotional activity).
- Ensure marketing plans are linked to bottom-up volume assumptions and risk-mitigation measures.
Pharmacy Channel Development
- Develop pharmacist engagement programs (education, visibility, loyalty) in collaboration with SFE and Trade.
- Monitor pharmacy influence, especially for genericized products, and adjust tactics accordingly.
Cross-functional Execution
- Work closely with Sales, SFE, and Trade to ensure fast and aligned execution of strategic priorities.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to track and communicate marketing's contribution to commercial KPIs.
The Successful Applicant
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of Marketing and Sales Management experience in a multinational pharmaceutical company.
- Proven track record in developing markets for specific brands or products.
