Job summary

DXC Technology in Manila, Taguig is hiring an Associate Manager Software Engineering to lead hands-on front-end development using React.js and TypeScript. You’ll optimize performance, collaborate with Python/FastAPI backend teams for RESTful APIs, and mentor junior developers while delivering scalable UI components.

The role requires strong expertise in modern CSS, state management, testing, and CI/CD practices; a cross-functional, product-driven environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and state management (Redux/Context API/Zustand).
• Experience with CSS3, SASS, Flexbox/Grid, Tailwind, Material UI, Halstack.
• REST/GraphQL API integration using Axios.
• Testing with Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress.
• Build tooling such as Webpack or Vite.
• Version control with Git/GitHub.
• Design wireframes/tools like Figma and UXPin.
• Performance optimization via lazy loading and memoization.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development of core front-end features.
• Develop core UI/frameworks in React.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS.
• Optimize load times, implement lazy loading, and manage state with Redux/Context API/Zustand.
• Collaborate with backend engineers (Python/FastAPI) to design RESTful APIs.
• Troubleshoot UI defects with structured debugging; provide mentorship.
• Partner with UX designers to ensure design feasibility and consistency.
• Coordinate with product owners, architects, and AI teams to align technical design.
• Support sprint planning, estimations, and delivery governance.
• Lead sprint-level UI deliveries and manage cross-team dependencies.
• Contribute to CI/CD for front-end (GitHub Actions, AWS Amplify, S3).
• Enforce version control, branching, and code reviews.
• Translate wireframes/design systems (UXPin, Figma) into reusable components.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on Development
• Develop core application frameworks in React.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS architectures (Flexbox, Grid, SASS)
• Optimize load times, implement lazy loading, and manage state effectively using Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers (Python/FastAPI) to design efficient, RESTful APIs.
• Troubleshoot complex UI defects and production issues with a structured debugging approach. Collaboration & Mentorship.
• Partner with UX Designers to ensure design feasibility, functionality, and consistency across products.
• Communicate effectively with product owners, architects, and AI teams to align technical design with sprint outcomes.
• Support sprint planning, estimations, and delivery governance. Process & Delivery
• Lead sprint-level UI deliveries, track velocity, and manage cross-team dependencies.
• Contribute to CI/CD setup and DevOps integration for front‑end code (GitHub Actions, AWS Amplify, or S3).
• Enforce version control discipline, branching standards, and review workflows.
• Translate complex wireframes or design systems (UXPin, Figma) into modular, reusable UI components.

Qualifications

• Languages & Frameworks: React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), Redux / Context API / Zustand
• Styling & Layout: CSS3, SASS, Flexbox, Grid, Tailwind, Material UI, Halstack (preferred)
• API Integration: REST / GraphQL, Axios, JSON Schema
• Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress
• Build Tools: Webpack / Vite
• Version Control: Git, GitHub
• Design Tools: Figma, UXPin
• Performance Optimization: Lazy loading, memoization, bundling strategies

Preferred / Nice To Have

• Experience integrating AI-driven UI elements (e.g., chat widgets, data visualizations, dashboards).
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud, Terraform, or Docker for deployment readiness.
• Experience with Halstack Design System and WCAG compliance standards.
• Exposure to backend (Python/FastAPI/Flask) for full-stack collaboration.
