Job summary

Branch International is hiring an Associate who will report to the Finance Manager in India. The role covers accounts payable, daily wallet reconciliations, employee expenses, and general ledger work across balance sheet and P&L accounts in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include vendor invoice processing, PO/invoice matching, vendor data maintenance, journal entries for month-end close, and preparing financial reports while ensuring internal controls and compliance with workflows.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant, Bachelor's/Master's in finance or CA in progress or completed.
• 1-2 years accounting experience in a similar role.
• Strong Excel skills with analytic capability; SQL or Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and process vendor invoices with approvals and workflows.
• Perform 2-way / 3-way matching of PO, invoices and receipts where applicable.
• Support vendor onboarding, master data maintenance, and documentation validation.
• Assist month-end close with journal entries and NetSuite ERP.
• Prepare monthly financial and management reports; assist audits.

Job Description

The Associate will report to the Finance Manager in India. This role will involve a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, daily reconciliation of wallets, review of employee expense, general ledger reconciliations for various balance sheet and profit & loss accounts. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance your accounting skills in a dynamic and diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to approval workflows
• Perform 2-way / 3-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts where applicable
• Support vendor onboarding, master data maintenance, and documentation validation
• Investigate invoice discrepancies, payment exceptions, and vendor queries in a timely manner
• Prepare and record journal entries to support a timely month-end close using NetSuite ERP
• Analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts and investigate discrepancies or aged open items
• Record cash and expense transactions, ensuring accurate and consistent categorization
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate expense allocation and vendor accounting
• Support timely payment and compliance of statutory dues, including preparation of required data and coordination
• Assist with accrual calculations, vendor documentation review, and contract-related accounting support
• Support preparation of monthly financial and management reports
• Support external audits, including preparation of schedules and responding to data requests
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, approval workflows, and process compliance requirements

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant, Bachelor's/Masters in finance or Semi Qualified CA
• 1-2 years accounting experience in similar position
• Hands on Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities. Understanding of SQL or python is added advantage
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams; limited coordination across time zones may be required
