About the Role

The Associate Director, AIA PH Academy shall be responsible for setting up the vision and strategy on development for the country, in charge of providing direction and supervision to the Agency Premier Academy, supporting the 5 major zones in their training needs and requirements to achieve the Premier Agency Vision.

Premier Academy Strategy/Governance:

  • Develops and enforces training policies aligned with the company’s strategy.
  • Builds training roadmaps and platforms for advisors, leaders, and ASG team.
  • Collaborates with the CAO and Pillar Heads, designs and delivers all the training requirements of the key pillars of sales.
  • Develops/imports key or special training programs (GAMA/LIMRA and others). Runs TTT sessions to develop Master Trainers.
  • Discusses and agrees with the Zone Heads on the delivery of each region’s training requirements.
  • Defines and executes training initiatives and projects aligned with the training and sales strategy.
  • Ensures that high level training reports are submitted to to AIA, Local ExCo, Zone Heads.
  • Prepares and manages operating expense budget following established company guidelines.
  • Works closely with GPA to learn from and adopt training best practices of other countries.
  • Collaborates with Marketing on new product development to ensure smooth launch, rollout, and quick sales.
  • Coaches and mentors direct reports to achieve their individual KPIs, upgrade their competency level, and track their career progression.
  • Conducts quarterly performance review for the team.

Training Design and Delivery

  • Ensures that all the training and development programs based on established company training path are designed and implemented.
  • Enables and executes the induction for newly hired members of Premier Academy and ensures acquisition of required knowledge and skills within specified standards and timelines.
  • Ensures that Premier Academy manager and staff competencies are regularly upgraded to adhere to company performance standards to help facilitate skills upgrade of BDMs and trainers.
  • Ensures that the right training and development programs are in place and well-delivered to the target audience.
  • Ensures that sales training, recruitment, and activation tools are updated, and the use of technology (iMO, iPoS, portal) is fully maximized.
  • Ensures delivery of eLearning modules based on schedule.
  • Helps develop ASG team through the Staff Development Training Roadmap.

Quality Assurance

  • Tracks and evaluates training results. Adjusts training plans when necessary.
  • Accredits and visits trainers and field staff to validate accredited skills
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
