Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure all transactions have been captured and accounted for correctly on internal client books and records are completed accurately within internal market and SLA deadlines
• Track and execute lifecycle events from initial set-up to closeout; taking into account coupons, corporate actions, dividend payments and resets
• Liaise directly with clients and other market participants to confirm and settle transaction.
• Perform and review reconciliations between internal and external data sources. Timely resolution of exceptions.
• Respond to complex queries from external parties in relation to associated trades/positions.
• Represent the team in cross-functional initiatives and/or projects.
• Provide technical guidance to the team by successfully onboarding new hires, proactively addressing complex issues, critical clients and escalations.
• Act as SME and provide functional support and coverage for the team, providing direction on workflow prioritization and transaction approval when needed.

Knowledge

• A keen awareness of the Financial Services Industry; understanding of the derivatives markets is beneficial.
• Effective in the use of a variety of communication methods. Strong and clear written and verbal communication.
• Highly numerate and analytical with an ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to work on multiple initiatives concurrently and prioritize effectively.
• Basic understanding of custody and fund administration functions required.

Experience

• 2-5+ years of professional experience in the relevant field.
• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field (finance, economics, mathematics, etc.).
• Business or financial services qualification or studying for the same; this is not essential but would be an advantage.
