Job summary

Aboitiz Foods invites an Associate Nutritionist to join the Nutrition team. The role focuses on preparing feed formulations for internal and client needs, achieving least-cost options while costing formulations and tracking material usage for department needs.

You will collaborate with R&D for new ingredients and product development, provide technical support to customers, and ensure compliance with quality and food-safety standards. Strong Excel and data skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education in animal science with focus on animal nutrition.
• Experience in animal nutrition and physiology preferred.
• PRC license is an advantage.
• Knowledge of feed-mill operations and quality assurance.
• Driving skills

Responsibilities

• Formulations for customers including internal farm, commercial, and customized formulations.
• Provide least-cost formulations for customers.
• Provide formulation costings and material usage data for accounting, purchasing, and other departments.
• Ensure safety and confidentiality of formulations per SOPs and guidelines.
• Collaborate with R&D on new ingredients and trials.
• Implement formulations for R&D trials and product development.
• Provide technical support to customers as needed.
• Comply with quality, Halal, health and food safety policies and regulations.
• Participate in quality, safety, sustainability and CSR programs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Description

The Associate Nutritionist is responsible for providing the formulation required by the Feed Mill plant. Works directly with the Nutritionist in keeping formulations available needed by customers and clients.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Formulations & Nutrition

• Responsible for feed formulations required by customers including internal farm, commercial, and customized formulations.
• Provide Least cost formulations for customers.
• Provide formulation costings, and material usage needed by accounting, purchasing & other departments.
• Ensures the safety and confidentiality of all product formulations by implementing all risk management SOPs guidelines and work instructions applicable.
  
  

Research & Development

• Responsible for research of new ingredients that can possibly be used in the formulations in collaboration with R&D.
• Responsible for the implementation of formulations needed by R&D for trial purposes.
• Responsible for the implementation of new ingredients that will help improve feed cost.
  
  

Product Development

• Collaborate with Product Category for new product development.
  
  

Technical Support

• Provide technical support to customers internally and externally as needed.
  
  

Food Safety

• Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards, and regulations of the company.
• Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.
  
  

Other Tasks

• Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
• Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

• Animal Science, specializing in Animal Nutrition.
• Agriculture (animal science);
• Animal management;
• Animal production science;
• Applied animal science;
  
  

Experience

• Not required but experience is an advantage
  
  

License/s

• PRC License is an advantage

• Working knowledge of animal nutrition and animal physiology
• Knowledge of animal diseases and symptoms.
• Knowledge of production performance parameters
• Appreciation of Feed Sales and Marketing
• Working knowledge of feed-mill operations and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with analyzing data and writing reports;
• The capability to formulate and communicate ideas;
