Job summary

Dayforce is seeking a proactive Assoc Manager Payroll Delivery to lead the payroll delivery team delivering outsourced payroll services for Dayforce’s clients.

You will set and measure objectives, identify skills needs, and arrange training to enable team contributions to business objectives. You will ensure high customer satisfaction with proactive support and provide peer mentoring across the team.

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing high volume and complex payrolls.
  • Supervisory experience in a customer services environment.
  • Experience in managing customer relationships.
  • Experience in the payroll outsourcing or consulting industry preferred.
  • Clear understanding of payrolls across relevant regions (EMEA/UK) and applicable legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage talent management activities in support of HR programs.
  • Lead hiring and onboarding, performance management, coaching, and learning & development.
  • Balance team activities to ensure quality service and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain strong internal and external communication and stakeholder relationships.
  • Support client transitions to service and ensure customer satisfaction.

About the position

Dayforce is currently seeking a Assoc Manager Payroll Delivery to join our growing team. We need smart, driven people with payroll and domain expertise mixed with a desire to provide a great Customer experience with every interaction.

The Assoc Manager will manage the team responsible for the delivery of outsourced Payroll services for Dayforce’s customers, ensuring service excellence. This role is also responsible for the setting and measurement of individual and team objectives, identification of skills needs and the organization and / or provision of appropriate training to enable team members to make the required contribution to business objectives. You will have a strong background in effectively managing a specialized team and will also have an in-depth working knowledge of leading payroll, year-end, and other projects.


You will demonstrate initiative, agility, ownership and delivery on areas of responsibility, by developing solid product and domain expertise within the team. This will allow you to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing proactive support and consistently exceeding customer expectations. The leadership team will look to you to provide peer to peer mentoring, identify knowledge gaps and provide feedback.

  • Plans and manages all talent management activities in support of Ceridian’s HR programs and functional objectives:
  • Hiring and on-boarding employees
  • Performance Management activities – goal setting and cascading, completing formal performance reviews, providing feedback, assigning performance ratings
  • Coaching, mentoring team members, offering feedback to foster openness, continuous learning, and a high- performance environment
  • Leading and supporting learning and development opportunities
  • Completing succession planning activities to support service contingency and employee development
  • Actions disciplinary, retention, engagement, and recognition initiatives
  • Manages and balances the team’s activities and work volumes to ensure the provision of a quality service, performed within the established processes, quality controls, and timelines, resulting in the retention of the customer base. Ensures that customer inquiries, events, change controls and complaints are proactively managed to a resolution
  • Establish and maintain effective internal and external communication channels to ensure the availability and dissemination (where appropriate) of relevant information
  • Partner with internal functions, managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring operational excellence as ‘One Team’
  • Supports customer ‘transition to service’ activities in accordance with established best-practices to ensure a positive experience for customers and service teams
  • Establish and maintain a quality culture within the team, delivering repeatable and reliable customer experiences with zero defects. Ensure that quality practices are implemented and adhered to, and that team members manage customer information in accordance with compliance and contingency regulations
  • To comply with security policies, for the maintenance of confidentiality, integrity and to protect personal data
  • Manage customer change control
  • Provides leadership and expertise at a process level for the entire end to end payroll
  • Supports (existing and new) clients and internal teams throughout various client life cycles
  • Has an “I own it” attitude about deliverables and projects from start to finish
  • Maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction

Skills and experience we value -
  • Experience in managing high volume and complex Payrolls (min 5 years). End to end payroll experience a plus with strong analytical and technical expertise
  • Supervisory experience in a customer services environment
  • Experience in managing customer relationships
  • Experience in the payroll outsourcing or consulting industry preferred
  • Requires a clear understanding of payrolls across the EMEA (UK) region with an understanding of applicable legislative requirements
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with leadership, internal partners and customers
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Experience with HCM (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Workforce Management, Performance Management, Recruiting) applications

Work Timings - 1.30 P.M. - 10.30 P.M. IST
