Gingersnaps Philippines seeks an Assistant Merchandising and Control Manager to support merchandise planning and control activities for Gingersnaps and Just G brands. The role involves coordinating sales analysis, inventory management, and markdowns while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of merchandise plans.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience in merchandising or retail operations, with a preference for candidates from the apparel or FMCG sectors.
The Assistant Merchandising and Control Manager supports the planning, coordination, monitoring, and execution of merchandise planning and control activities for Gingersnaps and Just G brands. The role assists in sales analysis, forecasting, inventory management, markdowns, replenishment, allocation, reporting, and inventory productivity while ensuring accurate and timely completion of operational requirements. It also coordinates with cross-functional teams such as Ecommerce, Warehouse, Creatives, Production, Store Operations, and Marketing to ensure smooth execution of merchandise plans, inventory activities, and seasonal launches.
Support execution and monitoring of category planning, assortment planning, and merchandise allocation activities. Coordinate planning timelines, report submissions, and merchandise calendar deliverables. Monitor implementation progress of approved merchandise planning strategies and inventory actions. Ensure alignment of merchandise execution activities with approved seasonal plans and launch schedules.
Oversee preparation and validation of sales dashboards, category reports, sell-through analysis, Months-to-Sell (MTS) reports, and inventory monitoring reports. Review sales and inventory trends, inventory risks, and stock movement concerns. Escalate key inventory and merchandise performance concerns to the MPCD Manager. Monitor inventory productivity and sell-through performance across channels and categories.
Support forecasting reviews, allocation planning coordination, and replenishment execution. Ensure inventory allocation activities are aligned with approved category plans and inventory priorities. Monitor allocation accuracy and inventory balancing activities across channels. Coordinate inventory movement and replenishment activities with Warehouse and Store Operations teams.
Coordinate markdown implementation schedules and monitor markdown execution progress. Review markdown files, inventory aging reports, and sell-through trends prior to implementation. Monitor inventory productivity initiatives including replenishment, pullouts, consolidation, promotion and markdown execution. Ensure timely implementation of approved markdown and inventory-related activities.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of Merchandising and Control reports, planning tools, and merchandise analysis deliverables. Review report accuracy, data completeness, and compliance with reporting standards. Maintain reporting governance and submission discipline across the department calendar. Support management presentations and report consolidation requirements.
Provide day-to-day guidance and operational supervision to the Category Analyst and Merchandising Assistant. Monitor task execution, timelines, and operational deliverables of the MPCD team. Coordinate cross-functional follow-ups related to inventory, launches, markdowns, promotions, and merchandise operational concerns. Support implementation of process improvements and operational discipline within the department.
