Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Tax Assistant Manager (CPA) to support and lead tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of clients. This role will assist in managing engagements, reviewing tax computations, and ensuring timely and accurate submissions in line with local regulations and global tax standards.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in corporate and indirect tax, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing tax compliance engagements including preparation and review of corporate income tax returns, VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Review supporting workpapers, computations, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Provide technical support on local tax regulations and updates, including impact assessments and client advisory.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to deliver integrated tax planning, due diligence, and restructuring services where required.
  • Coordinate with clients for information gathering, issue resolution, and delivery of tax-related outputs.
  • Monitor filing deadlines and ensure compliance with relevant tax rules and internal policies.
  • Support tax audits or assessments, including documentation, analysis, and response preparation.
  • Supervise junior team members and support their technical development through coaching and feedback.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy or related field; must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • At least 5-7 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting, consulting, or corporate tax setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of local tax laws, compliance requirements, and tax reporting standards.
  • Experience with corporate, VAT, and withholding tax; knowledge of international tax is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax preparation tools; experience with tax software or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
