Job summary

IQ-EQ is seeking a senior technical expert to lead complex fund accounting services, providing final review authority on sophisticated portfolios and advanced accounting modules. You will drive technical excellence, establish best practices, and ensure compliance with standards and internal policies.

You will also guide and train the team, support stakeholders, and contribute to process improvements while working within IQ-EQ's global framework and client portfolio needs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in fund accounting, financial reporting, or external audit.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulations and complex portfolios.
• Experience leading reviews, SOPs, and compliance processes.

Job Description

THIS ROLE

You’ll be the primary technical expert responsible for ensuring excellence in complex fund accounting services through expertise and final review authority. You'll serve as the ultimate subject matter expert for the team on complex accounting matters, leading technical decisions and process innovations while providing authoritative guidance on sophisticated client portfolios and advanced accounting modules.

• You'll serve as the team's technical authority, supporting complex accounting matters and ensuring high-quality outputs.
• You'll perform final reviews of sophisticated accounting deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• You'll drive technical excellence and innovation, while establishing best practices, standards, and methodologies.
• You'll ensure adherence to accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
• You'll provide technical guidance, training, and stakeholder support, acting as the primary expert for client-specific and fund segment matters.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU

• You have 6+ years of experience (at least 4 in fund accounting OR financial reporting, OR external audit) with expertise in complex portfolios and advanced accounting modules.
• You are a subject matter expert in technical accounting, with strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and the final review/sign-off of complex financial reports.
• You are proficient in advanced accounting systems and in developing/reviewing SOPs, methodologies, and compliance processes.
• You have strong leadership capabilities, including workload planning, resolving review issues, coaching team members, and driving technical development.
• You possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented, and process improvement mindset.
