Job summary

AS White Global is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to support the Fresh Trading division of a well-established Australian food manufacturer. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and key stakeholders to deliver timely financial reporting, costing, forecasting and business analysis in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes data handling, process improvement and actionable insights to drive commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or Commercial Finance.
• Strong month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations experience.
• Experience with product costing, inventory accounting, or COGS analysis.
• Proficient in SAP or similar ERP; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities including journals, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis
• Manage product costing, inventory-related accounting activities, and cost updates within finance systems
• Prepare forecasts, business models, and performance reports that support operational and commercial decision-making
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to investigate variances and provide actionable insights
• Drive reporting enhancements and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and data visibility

What You'll Do

• Support month-end close activities including journals, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis

Key Criteria

• 3+ years of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or Commercial Finance experience
• Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting standards
• Experience with product costing, inventory accounting, COGS analysis, or manufacturing/FMCG finance environments
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and large data-set analysis
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement

Work Setup

Work setup & hours may vary by location in accordance with local norms, practices & policies.

• Metro Manila (BGC): Australian business hours (6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PHT) with a hybrid setup (1 day onsite, 4 days remote)
