Job summary

Philippines Fiber Optic Cable Network Ltd., Inc. (PFOCN) in Ortigas City is seeking an Assistant Designer to assist the Engineering Division in preparing, revising, organizing, and publishing engineering design materials and CAD drawings.

You will participate in site surveys, design and construction site management, document translation, and coordination, with occasional fieldwork as required. This role reports to the engineering supervisor and supports project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Skilled with AutoCAD, specifically 2D layouts.
• Experience in telecom companies is preferred.
• Willing to be supervised and perform field work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in site surveys, design activities, and construction site monitoring for engineering projects.
• Support the preparation, organization, revision, printing, and filing of engineering design documents and AutoCAD drawings.
• Assist in surveying and designing telecom infrastructure projects including trunk lines, MANs, access networks, and sites.
• Translate, organize, and prepare customer-related documents and project materials for submission or publication.
• Conduct fieldwork and site visits as required.
• Perform other engineering-related tasks as assigned.

Job description

The Assistant Designer will support the Engineering Division in preparing, revising, organizing, and publishing engineering design materials and CAD drawings. The role will also assist in site surveys, design and construction site management, document translation and coordination, with occasional fieldwork as required. The position will be assigned to the Ortigas City Office and will perform other related tasks as reasonably assigned by the supervisor or management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in site surveys, design activities, and construction site monitoring for engineering projects.

• Support the team in the preparation, organization, revision, printing, and filing of engineering design documents and AutoCAD drawings.

• Assist in the survey and design of telecommunications infrastructure projects, including trunk lines, Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN), access networks, and communication sites.

• Assist superiors in translating, organizing, and preparing customer-related documents and project materials for submission or publication.

• Conduct fieldwork and site visits when required as part of the project.

• Perform other engineering-related tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any related fields.

• With at least 2 years of related work experience.

• Skilled with AutoCad specifically 2DLayouts.

• Have an experience in/with telecom companies.

• Willing to be supervised and conduct field working.
