# Assistant Chief EngineeringNovember 20, 2025Apply Now### Job DescriptionPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:• To develop and maintain, as appropriate, departmental rules for guiding performance of staff. • To ensure that all employees are fully familiar with and have a complete understanding of the hotel’s policies relating to fire, safety, hygiene and health and that these policies are strictly adhered to. • To develop engineering strategic plan with the assistance of local management team. • Maintain all equipments in good condition. • Maintain all Technical Staff at high morale. • Prepare staff roster and organise shifts to ensure appropriate staffing. • Maintain work attendance records for payroll purposes. • Organize training for Junior Staff. • Allocate daily work orders and supervise progress. • Share responsibility with DoE for the supervision of outside contractors working in the hotel. • Supervise the water treatment operation and monitor the tests. • Record data on daily or other periodical basis for control purposes. • Supervise the established guidelines and systems to ensure the most efficient operation at the most economical cost. • Prepare, with Chief Engineer, the departmental budgets, and monitor progress in order to contain costs. • Through other departments, attitude and appearance, promote a high level of interaction with the other departments and a high degrees of guest satisfaction. • Conduct daily rounds of the Hotel back of the house and public areas, checking every outlet for deficiencies and raising maintenance requests accordingly. • Instruct and assist when necessary the Plant Supervisor in the chemical testing of all water systems and advise on the proper remedial action. • Approve the monthly shift system.OTHERS• Continuous learning through own IDP. • Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.ACCOUNTABILITIES• Represents Dusit’s brand and its values at all times.
