Job summary
As a Client account management associate in the Client account management team, you will support day‑to‑day servicing for institutional and sub‑advisory clients and help deliver timely, accurate account administration. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to coordinate client requests, maintain strong controls, and continuously improve the client experience.
Job responsibilities
- Support primary client account managers by coordinating responses to client servicing requests and managing expectations on timelines and deliverables
- Process account maintenance activities, including account openings, cash flows, contact updates, reporting setup, fee and invoice setup, and guideline‑related updates
- Coordinate with internal partners (for example, investment specialists, portfolio managers, trading, cash management, guideline management, and client reporting) to complete client deliverables
- Manage complex and sensitive servicing activities with limited supervision while meeting service‑level expectations
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc client reports and materials using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Maintain a clear audit trail and follow applicable procedures, including quality control and maker‑checker requirements
- Identify operational, client, and control risks, and elevate issues promptly with clear analysis and recommended next steps
- Support workload prioritization, coverage planning, and task allocation during peak periods, absences, or business‑critical events
- Communicate status, dependencies, and outcomes clearly and concisely to stakeholders across multiple teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement of servicing processes and the overall client experience
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in client servicing, account management, or investment operations supporting institutional clients
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and time‑sensitive deliverables with limited supervision
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to align priorities and deadlines with partners at multiple levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for reporting and documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and follow‑through
- Demonstrated control mindset, including maintaining documentation and adhering to quality checks and procedures
- Ability to work effectively with local and global teams across different cultures and working styles
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience supporting asset management or asset servicing client services teams (for example, custody or investment banking environments)
- Exposure to sub‑advisory and/or liquidity client servicing models
- Understanding of common asset classes and investment products
- Familiarity with client reporting setup, service review materials, and ongoing account maintenance processes
- Financial markets awareness and understanding of basic financial concepts
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (for example, pivots, lookups, and data reconciliation)
- Developing experience using AI‑powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes
