Job summary

EY Philippines is seeking an ASEAN BU BA&I Senior Financial Analyst to join the GDS Enablement Services Finance team. You will provide analytical support across FP&A and accounting, prepare management reports, and assist with forecasts and budgeting for the BU Finance leadership.

The role requires hands-on analytics with tools like Python, Power BI, and Tableau, and experience in an ERP environment such as PeopleSoft or SAP. CPA/CIMA is desirable; at least 5 years in finance roles are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
• Membership of accredited professional accounting bodies (CPA/ACCA/CIMA) is desirable.
• Hands‑on experience in data analytics tools such as Python, Power BI, Tableau is required.
• Knowledge of AI tools such as co-pilot is an advantage.
• At least 5 years’ experience in finance-related roles (mainly FP&A).

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports and provide revenue and cost analysis.
• Assist in monitoring and tracking financial results against objectives and historical performance.
• Communicate detailed financial information to business leaders and identify potential risks.
• Coordinate budget and forecast exercises, translate projections into meaningful figures.
• Support invoicing, WIP, debtor aging analysis, and credit risk alerts.

This is a great opportunity to be a part of the GDS Enablement Services (ES) Finance organization. ES Finance delivers high value finance advisory roles spanning the Financial, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function and Controlling functions. The FP&A includes the Business Analysis & Investments (BA&I) and the Account Support sub functions. You will be a part of the Finance function for the ASEAN Business Unit (BU), and this will be part of the BA&I domain.

The opportunity

As the ASEAN BU BA&I Senior Financial Analyst, you will be part of a high performing team that acts as trusted business advisors supporting the BU Finance leadership on varied analytical matters related to the operational results. This role actively participates in the data gathering, report compilations and aiding in analytical reviews on monthly and periodic financial numbers. Involvement in ad-hoc projects and business initiatives will be a part of the role too.

Your key responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports and provide revenue and cost analysis.
• Assist in monitoring and tracking the financial results against operational and strategic objectives as well as historical performance
• Involve in preparing, synthesizing and communicating detailed financial information to business leaders; assist in identifying any potential risks which might impact service line performance and coordinate with the Team in providing strategic input to support effective decision making
• Perform and coordinate various budget and forecast exercises, support the translation of business projections into meaningful figures, including data processing, modeling and reporting
• Support the team lead with the day-to-day management of the inventory, including billing and collection management, WIP and debtor aging analysis, and alert respective leaders for any potential credit risks
• Assist in month-end close process including review and approval of journals and reconciliations
• Any other bookkeeping and reporting matters
• Execute ad-hoc analysis and data mining projects as needed by leaders
• Provide technical support, knowledge and counsel to others within the finance discipline

Skills and attributes for success

We are interested in people with a very positive attitude and a penchant for constant learning. As a successful candidate you will have relevant functional experience managing activities in the PBFA domain and hands‑on experience on technical tools like MS Office as well as ERP applications like Peoplesoft, SAP etc.
