Job summary

Xurpas Incorporated in the Philippines is seeking an experienced AS400/Midas Engineer to design, develop, configure, support, and troubleshoot applications on the AS400/IBM i platform. The role involves collaborating with business and technical teams to ensure reliable and efficient application performance.

The position offers a hybrid work setup (3x per week on-site) with a 10am–7pm shift, aligning with business needs and project timelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an AS400/Midas Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong experience with AS400/IBM i, CL, RPGLE, SQL, DB2, MQ, and IBM WebSphere.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support AS400/Midas applications.
• Troubleshoot application and system issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Perform system optimization and performance tuning.

• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver solutions.

Professional & Technical Skills

• At least 5 years of experience as an AS400/Midas Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong experience with AS400/IBM i, CL, RPGLE, SQL, DB2, MQ, and IBM WebSphere.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in system performance tuning and optimization.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance.
• Good communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Java.
• Experience with MDCMS source control.
• Understanding of Clearing and Settlement for Securities Trades, Corporate Actions, FX, Money Market, and General Ledger.
