Job summary

HPL GameDesign is seeking a talented 2D Animator to blend motion graphics, post-production, and game-ready animation.

You will create character/assets, develop storyboards, and collaborate with illustrators, editors, and developers to deliver high-quality visuals on tight deadlines. Using the Adobe suite, you will refine timing and integrate animations with existing footage for video and game projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a 2D Animator, preferably with post-production workflows.
• Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, anticipation).
• Proficiency with industry-standard 2D software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects).
• Experience with rigging and character animation.
• Knowledge of visual effects techniques and compositing.
• Ability to work with pre-existing footage and integrate animation seamlessly.
• Attention to detail and strong visual sense.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize ideas for characters, scenes, backgrounds, and other animation elements
• Create character sketches and develop storyboards for animation projects based on design briefs
• Design backgrounds, sets, and animated environment elements
• Create 2D assets and visual effects for animation and game projects
• Develop timing and pacing of motion based on audio requirements
• Create animations using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects
• Design motion graphics for promotional videos, social media content, instructional videos, and corporate presentations
• Review and revise designs in response to feedback, conducting multiple rounds of refinement
• Enhance and manipulate existing footage using animation techniques and integrate animations into final projects
• Collaborate with illustrators, other animators, editors, compositors, and game developers to finalize projects
