Design Staff Australia is seeking an Architectural Draftsperson skilled in ArchiCAD to join our long-term remote team delivering build-ready documentation for Australian residential projects. You will collaborate with Australian architects and stakeholders, taking ownership from concept through DA/BA documentation while adhering to NCC and Australian Standards.

This is a full-time independent contractor role with a remote, work-from-home setup for Metro Manila residents, offering ongoing project

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven ArchiCAD proficiency (v27 or earlier).
• 1+ year Australian residential drafting experience with knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC.
• Ability to produce construction-ready DA/BA documentation.
• Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

About The Role

Join a fast-moving residential drafting team delivering build-ready documentation for Australian residential projects. We’re looking for skilled ArchiCAD professionals who are interested in a long-term working relationship. With an ongoing pipeline of residential work, there are opportunities to grow your skills and continue working with the team as new projects come in.

You’ll work directly with our Australian client, communicating with architects and project stakeholders throughout the drafting process. You’ll take ownership of projects from concept through DA/BA documentation, applying Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and residential drafting best practices to deliver accurate, high-quality work.

What You'll Do:

• Produce detailed architectural documentation using ArchiCAD

• Prepare plans, sections, elevations, and DA/BA documentation

• Apply Australian Standards, NCC, and relevant council requirements

• Manage multiple residential projects and meet project deadlines

• Work independently while communicating directly with the Australian project team

• Maintain consistent documentation using established templates and BIM standards

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of proven proficiency in ArchiCAD, using Version 27 or earlier

• 1+ year of Australian residential drafting experience, with hands‑on knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC (mandatory)

• Proven ability to produce accurate, construction‑ready documentation for DA/BA approvals

• Proven ability to independently manage projects, self‑check work, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

• Strong attention to detail, ownership, and problem‑solving skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Lumion, Enscape, D5 Render, or similar

• Experience using AI tools for drafting, visualization, or rendering

• Exposure to BIM standards and collaborative documentation workflows
