Job summary

Aprio, a Top 20 CPA and advisory firm with global reach, invites applications for a Senior Audit Associate in its Assurance - Audit Team. The role focuses on Affordable Housing audits, requiring strong accounting knowledge and CPA preference.

The position supports a hybrid work arrangement, with initial onsite work during the onboarding period and occasional travel to client sites. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in public accounting, a 4-year accounting degree (Master’s preferred), and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Licensed CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
• Experience in Manufacturing or Technology sectors is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel and audit software.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits accurately and skillfully.
• Prepare audit work papers and adjust trial balances.
• Plan client engagements using time management.
• Assemble trial balances and financial statements for reports.
• Communicate financial statement accuracy to clients and colleagues.
• Foster relationships with clients and coworkers.
• Occasionally travel to client sites.

Position Responsibilities

• Accurately and skillfully performing audits
• Preparing audit work papers and adjusting trial balances
• Utilizing time management to plan and schedule client engagements
• Assembling trial balances and compiling financial statements into a written report to be presented
• Effectively communicating the accuracy of financial statements and other financial information to clients and co-workers
• Continuously fostering relationships with coworkers and clients
• Traveling to some to client sites

Qualifications

• 4 year bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Master’s degree preferred
• Licensed CPA preferred
• 3-5 years of experience working for a public accounting firm
• Developed specialties in Manufacturing and/or Technology
• Understanding and applying Excel skills
• Successfully using Case ware or other audit software
• Demonstrating exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Working effectively and personably within a team
• Amenable to a hybrid work arrangement (2 days onsite and 3 days WFH), with full-time onsite work required during the first 2 months.
• Amenable to working on a dayshift schedule
