Caldic APAC in Pasig City invites an Applications Development Specialist to drive innovation in food product formulation, improve existing recipes, and document lab-scale trials for traceability and quality. You will perform experiments, generate new recipes, maintain labs, provide technical support, write trial reports, and ensure QEMS compliance while thriving in a fast-paced environment under minimal

Qualifications

• Requires a tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the same role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong oral and written English communications and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests or experiments, recording results and logs.
• Generate new product recipes and modify existing ones per customer requirements.
• Maintain lab cleanliness, prepare samples, and ensure availability of equipment and materials.
• Provide technical assistance to clients.
• Write trial reports documenting results.
• Conduct inventory of supplies, ingredients and equipment.
• Comply with QEMS standards.
• Perform other related functions as required by superiors.

Job Title: Applications Development Specialist

About The Role

The role will be responsible for driving innovation in various food product formulation and development to meet customer needs and elevate our brand. The role includes enhancing existing products, pioneering new applications, and ensuring precise documentation of lab-scale trials—all to give our company a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tests or experiments, recording results, keeping logs and sorting through materials used in laboratory processes.
• Generating new product recipes, improving/ modifying existing recipes according to customer requirements.
• Duties may include cleaning and organizing a laboratory, preparing / requesting samples and ensuring that equipment and raw materials are readily available.
• Provide technical assistance to clients.
• Writing trial reports.
• Conduct inventory of supplies, ingredients and equipment.
• Complies with QEMS Standards.
• Performs other related functions as required by superiors and or the Company's authorized representatives.

Job Requirements

• Recognized Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Chemical engineering, Food technology or any related course.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the same role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong oral and written (English) communications and presentation skills.
• Action-oriented with ability to deliver timely and positive results
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Works effectively with minimal supervision
