Job summary

Our Clients is seeking an IT analyst in the Philippines to lead data mapping, map requirements, and support enterprise platforms. Candidates should have experience with SQL, Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, and Oracle BI Publisher, and be able to work across APAC teams with regional PMO standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in technical analysis within finance, insurance, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of proven IT experience with technical analysis and data mapping.
• Industry background in general insurance, insurance broking, ledger-based accounting systems, or financial risk platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Platform Configuration: Configure enterprise insurance products and risk parameters across core platforms including Oracle BI Publisher templates.
• System Deployment: Participate in regional deployment phases for new products or enhanced modules.
• Technical Debt Reduction: Identify, document, and remediate platform defects in Jira and contribute to debt consolidation.
• Data Mapping: Lead data analysis and field-mapping to author Data Mapping, Layout, and Technical Artifacts.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document functional/non-functional requirements.
• Testing & QA: Draft test scripts and manage defects per enterprise QA standards.
• L2/L3 Support: Provide dedicated application support to meet SLAs.
• Regional Collaboration: Work with APAC cross-functional teams following PMO processes and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Configuration & Product Deployment

• Platform Configuration: Configure enterprise insurance products and risk parameters across core business platforms, including risk codes, eLink systems, Webforms, and Oracle BI Publisher document templates.
• System Deployment: Participate in regional deployment phases when new insurance products are added or existing application modules are enhanced.
• Technical Debt Reduction: Identify, document, and remediate platform defects in Jira while actively contributing to technical debt consolidation.

Data Analysis & Requirement Engineering

• Data Mapping: Lead comprehensive data analysis and field-mapping exercises to author clear Data Mapping, Layout, and Technical Artifacts.
• Requirements Gathering: Partner with business stakeholders, software developers, and technical leads to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Draft and review testing documentation specifically test scripts and manage defect tracking adhering to enterprise QA standards.

Application Support & Governance

• L2/L3 Application Support: Act as a dedicated application support analyst for assigned systems to guarantee performance meets agreed-upon business SLAs.
• Regional Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional project teams across the APAC region, complying with regional PMO processes and security standards.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Tenure: Minimum of 3+ years of proven IT experience with demonstrable success in technical analysis and data mapping.
• Industry Background (Desirable): Experience working within general insurance, insurance broking, ledger-based accounting systems, or financial risk platforms is highly preferred.

Technical Skills & Tools

• Database & Querying: Hands-on competency querying relational databases using SQL. Working knowledge of Oracle SQL/PL-SQL is desirable.
• Reporting Tools: Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BI Publisher) is strongly preferred.
• Documentation & Workflows: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Jira, and structured data-mapping documentation.
