Job summary

White Cloak Technologies, Inc. seeks an API-focused developer to join their engineering team in Manila.

You will integrate backend core systems with front-end applications via APIs, build scalable and secure services for an API gateway platform, and develop microservices for specialized functions including encryption and database connectivity. Responsibilities include end-to-end SDLC participation, API security implementation (JWT, OAuth, API keys), and thorough API documentation with knowledge

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in API development.
• Experience with IBM API Connect or equivalent API gateway.
• Proficient in RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Strong JavaScript/NodeJS and NestJS experience.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and API security.
• Familiarity with Docker, GitLab, and Linux CLI.
• Ability to write comprehensive API documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and agile mindset.

Responsibilities

• Integrate backend systems with front-end apps via APIs.
• Develop scalable, secure code for API gateway deployment.
• Create microservices for customized API functions.
• Support end-to-end software development lifecycle.
• Implement API security controls (rate limiting, JWT, OAuth, API keys).
• Document APIs and provide knowledge transfer to teams.
• Debug issues and write unit tests.
• Collaborate in an agile team and follow processes.
• Support production issues as L3.
