Job summary

Remitly PHL Operations Inc. is seeking a Head of Internal Audit – APAC based in Manila. You will lead Remitly's internal audit function for Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, and Australia, guiding a team of auditors and co-source resources to deliver risk-based audits across APAC-regulated entities.

You will own the audit framework, plan, and execution across four jurisdictions, and report directly to Boards and regulators, fostering a strong control culture with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk, or related field.
• 7+ years in internal audit, compliance assurance, risk testing, or regulatory consulting in financial services or payments, including people management.
• Experience with APAC regulatory frameworks (JFSA, BSP, MAS, AUSTRAC, or ASIC).
• Leadership of full audit lifecycle across multiple jurisdictions with team management.

Responsibilities

• Own and implement internal audit framework across APAC jurisdictions.
• Lead annual audit plan, risk assessment, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Manage and develop a team of internal auditors.
• Oversee end-to-end audit engagements across the region.
• Monitor remediation and report to Boards/regulators.
• Engage with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Ops, Product, and Eng teams.
