Job summary

Northern Trust’s Internal Audit function invites an Audit Manager to lead, plan and execute audits across the APAC Region. You will provide technical guidance to auditors, confirm audit scope with Directors, and drive quality of workpapers and reports.

The successful candidate will collaborate with partners in multiple locations, report to the Associate Director in Melbourne, and ensure compliance with internal standards while building relationships across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics is preferred, but not required.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, PRM, CPA, CISA, CIA, ACA, ACCA) are preferable but not mandatory.
• 8+ years of experience auditing in a financial institution or similar public accounting experience in the financial services industry is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit projects across APAC with timely, accurate delivery.
• Demonstrate professionalism and leadership during planning interviews and status meetings.
• Ensure audits meet quality standards and internal audit policies.
• Escalate significant concerns, budget variances, or delays impacting audits.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and partners across locations to scope and execute audits.
